As we all know, our British Summers can be a little hit and miss! With 2024 playing very much along the same lines; one moment brilliant sunshine; the very next moment a torrential downpour or just drizzle!
Polly and George’s Wedding day in the heart of North Norfolk started very much in that vein with a constant mist of drizzle, soaking through all the wonderful and colourful decorations which adorned the trees and gardens. However when Evie and I arrived to set up, we could not have had a warmer welcome, the excitement levels high, yet everyone was super chilled, with every expectation of the sun shining through. Fun was definitely on the agenda.
As the morning progressed the sun started to peep through, the colours of the garden and all the hard work started to pay off. With endless cups of tea and coffee to keep us all fuelled, the morning zoomed by in a flurry of hairspray and fixing spray.
It always amazes me how quickly a wedding morning goes, usually we are working for 5-6 hours straight, without a break, other than to grab a sip of our coffee, this was no exception, the morning flew by, and before we knew it Polly was ready to get into her dress and have her first look with her Bridesmaids.
A truly wonderful morning spent doing my absolute dream job.
